Online Essay Writing Competition

On occasion of Children's Day, RCDA brings to you an Online Essay Writing Competition,inspiring thousands of young writers. Run by RCDA,  competition is providing a platform for students to compete with their peers.

After receiving 45 requests to open the competition for Undergraduate Students, TEAM RCDA has decided to open it for undergraduate students enrolled in any recognized college.

TOPIC:-
Select any one of the two, as per your choice,

                                  "Is admission to colleges in India too competitive?"
                                                            or
                                  "Delhi-The Rape Capital of India"-sought reasons behind increasing
                                   number of crimes in the Capital.

To Enter the competition 
Step 1:- Send your Entries to editorials.rcda@gmail.com with subject as OEWC:"Your Topic".

Step 3:- Once we receive your Entry, an Acknowledgement E-Mail will be sent to you.

After you receive the Acknowledgment E-Mail, you are in the RCDA's first Online Competition and eligible to win Cash Prizes and a lot of exciting goodies.

Before Sending your Entry, go through the Eligibility Requirements and Rules and Regulations. Any instance of violation of  the rules will result to immediate Disqualification. 

ELIGIBLITY REQUIREMENTS:-
1. Contestant must be a School Student of Class X, XI or XII.
2. Essay must be written in no other than English Language.

PRIZES:-
I Prize-  Cash Prize of INR 1000.
II Prize- Cash Prize of INR 500.
Two Consolation Prizes of INR 250 each, and lots of other exciting Goodies to be won.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:-
1. No entry fee is required.
2. All entries must be original works, in English. Plagiarism will result in disqualification.
3. Each entrant may submit only one essay per contest.
4. All entries once received will be considered final. No revisions are accepted.
5. The decisions of the judges are entirely their own, and will be treated as final and biding.
6. At the discretion of the judges, all well written essays may be published on our Blog.
7. No literary form other than an essay will be accepted.
8. Last Date to send your Entries is November 25,2013. No entries received after Last Date shall be entertained.
9. Write an essay that is between 500 and 750 words only.
10. Handwritten material is not allowed.Attach only .doc and .docx file in Mail. No other format will be accepted.
11. RCDA reserves the Rights to alter the Rules and Prizes at any time without any prior notice.


  1. Make sure your Essay is your original work, created specifically for this Competition. This means that you have exclusive intellectual property rights, and that your work wasn’t previously published, submitted or distributed anywhere else for any other reason.A special evaluation round will be conducted to check Plagiarism and if found so, it will result in immediate disqualification without providing any information to the Contestant.

Visit to Kilkari Rainbow Home Hostel

Rotaractors of RCDA visited KILKARI RAINBOW HOME HOSTLE , an orphanage in ChabiGanj, Kasmere Gate giving shelter to around 80 girls within the age group of 5-15 years. Visit was organised on November 2, 2013 to celebrate the Festival of Lights, DIWALI with the innocent children of orphanage. The visit included bursting of small Crackers like PhulJhari and Charkhi.It was followed by Distribution of Gifts, and Sweets and wishing them a very Happy and Safe Diwali. The visit made this Diwali unforgettable and it made our day and  their's as well.
